Which Edition do I need?
If you run non-breeding animals, Wether Edition is all you'll need.
If you are breeding alpacas, you'll want Breeder Edition as a minimum.
If you are looking for an all-in-one package that not only looks after your farm and herd management, but your business as well, you'll want Enterprise Edition. In addition to business management, you get a free 512MB USB Flash Drive and a free 5 page website too!
Do you have alpacas?
Yes, we are partners with Orrapoora Alpacas, located in Goulburn, NSW, Australia. Some 120 alpacas are run, both owned and agisted.
Are there any hidden charges?
Absolutely not.
  • There are no subscription services. We post updates on our site every couple of months, which are free for everyone to download for the foreseeable future.
  • We definitely do not endorse "lock-ins", whereby people are forced to hand over money regularly just to be able to use a program they have already paid good money for.
  • AlpaFarm doesn't care if you upgrade / change your computer hardware when and as you see fit - we abhor the insidious and now almost widespread practice of charging "activation fees".
How do I update AlpaFarm?
Simply download the latest version and run it. AlpaFarm will automatically install itself over any existing version on your computer. Read this for more information.
NOTE: Please ensure any existing version of AlpaFarm is closed before running the new installation.
Will you develop AlpaFarm according to my needs?
Absolutely. We actively encourage feedback and suggestions. You can even email us requests from AlpaFarm itself (Help : Request a Change or Reports : Request a Report). If you're not online at the time, simply save the email ready to send when next you are online (in Outlook Express, this is File : Send Later).
All requests big or small are taken seriously. Don't feel shy about sketching out Reports you'd like either. A rough outline on A4 or American Letter-sized paper faxed / mailed is fine.
How good is your Support?
Our response time is fast and our knowledge is in-depth - we think this is a great combination :)
AlpaFarm is so intuitive and easy to learn that we hardly ever receive requests for support.

Will AlpaFarm run on a Mac?
In a sense, it is Mac friendly. AlpaFarm runs on Windows, and there are many Windows emulators for the Mac, such as Virtual PC. AlpaFarm is, by design, a lean program and so does not require a grunty computer to run it. (It will happily run on an old i486 PC computer, circa 1995.) In short, we feel you would be quite satisfied with AlpaFarm in a Windows emulator on your Mac. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Free website?? What's the catch?
Other than purchasing Enterprise Edition and accepting our very reasonable conditions, there is absolutely no catch. There's no need or obligation to spend another cent with us. Read here for more information.
