There is absolutely no obligation to spend more money with us. You don't have to register a domain name through us, you don't have to host with us, you don't have to do anything except take advantage of our offers and meet our fair Conditions.

• A minimum of 100MB web space. That's HUGE! Your free website would need a few hundred KB at most. Use the excess to put a photo album on-line if you like! Or whatever you like for that matter - it's your site (you can password-protect it if desired). We are happy to help you in any way.

Advantages of Domain names:

• A domain name (eg. optimate.com.au or alpafarm.com) advertises your professionalism
• Australian domain names (these end in '.au', eg. you.com.au, you.net.au) in particular show credibility in Australia, as only registered Australian businesses are entitled to them
• Which is easier to remember? Which looks better? Which looks more professional? www.you.com.au or www.yourISP.com.au/users/you?
• The former URL is similar to what you'll get when you register your own domain name. The latter is similar to what you'll get if you rely on the free webspace offered with most email accounts. We think the latter is unwieldy and looks cheap
• A domain name is forever, as long as the registration is maintained (much like a car registration). Relying on free webspace on your ISP's webserver can be risky. What if you print your URL on business cards and stationery, and
• your ISP changes its domain name
• your ISP closes its business
• you decide to change ISPs
• you are forced to change ISPs (eg. the ISP changes your plan, in a way unacceptable to you)
• For the same reasons, email addresses attached to domain names are also permanent
• A commercial website is a tax-deductible business expense
